Hi All
Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Julia or back from Liz – a BIG hello!
Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way.
It’s been an exciting week in the Stampin’ Up! year with the launch of the Holiday Catalogue on Thursday. So this week we change our focus from the Annual Catalogue to now take our inspiration from the Holiday Catty’s pages – full of gorgeous products and samples. We’re starting with the super sweet goodies of the Candy Cane Lane Product Suite on pages 4 – 7.
And what a great suite to start the catalogue with – it incorporates two of my favourite things – Christmas and baking!
I’ve taken my inspiration from two projects – the teddy bear card on page 6 provided the layout while the tag on the craft box on page 7 provided the stamp choice.
You can see that I decided not to make a Christmas card – so instead I’ve incorporate some of the Halloween products into a gift card. It’s easy to overlook the Halloween products as not relevant to us in New Zealand – but they are really versatile as I hope you can see and are not limited to being used for Halloween projects.
The background coloured paper is from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP.
Like the original tag – I have used two of the stamps from the Yummy Little Christmas Stamp set and coloured onto the stamps directly with Stampin’ Write markers. This is one of my favourite techniques – it makes each stamp like having several different stamps depending on how you colour. I’ve used Old Olive and Perfect Plum on both the mixer and the sentiment – but have left the rolling-pin and it’s part of the sentiment off the lower stamp as I wasn’t making a Christmas card. In this catalogue there are three (3) pairs of Stampin’ Write Markers available to purchase – Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive, Real Red & Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler & Garden Green. This gives you another option for purchasing the markers – the complete set, by ‘colour collection” and now in pairs!
And those gorgeous embellishments are the Halloween Night Enamel Dots.
If you’re wondering where my colour choice came from – let’s peek inside …
What cute washi! Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Perfect Plum. It’s from the Halloween Night Designer Washi set – not scary at all!
I hope you enjoyed my card this week and that you are loving the new catalogue as much as I am. If you are in New Zealand and you haven’t received a copy of the catalogue – please message me. I’d love to share it with you!
As always, CASEing the Catty is running a monthly challenge – so you can play along too!
We’d love you to share your own project that takes inspiration from pages 4 – 7 of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalogue. Just click on the Join Challenge Button below and you can add your project at the linky you will find at the bottom of the post.
A winner will be chosen and announced on the first post of the following month.
Now depending on the direction you’re hopping, you’ll go forward to Liz or back to Julia.
And remember if you get lost along the way – head to the CTC Blog Home Page where you will see all those involved in this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop and make sure you haven’t missed any of the great creations!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy all the other posts in the hop!
Until next time
Jackie

Great card Jackie! Love that you’ve gone with the colours from the Halloween suite and transformed them to suit your project! Kelly x
What a lovely card!! Perfect to go with a baked goods gift!! Love the colour combo too.
This is such a cute stamp set. Love the card you have made and how you have highlighted Halloween papers for non Halloween users.
Love those colours together, Jackie and that washi is very cute. Will have to take another look at it. Such a lovely tag to complement a foodie gift.
Very nice Jackie! I’m loving the Halloween products too but I don’t actually celebrate the event, thank you for showing an alternate use for the products.
I have seriously overlooked the halloween things, but your card Jackie, has really got me interested now. The washi & DSP have a real modern 60’s feel to them the way you’ve used them. This set is perfect for foodie gifts….hmm I think I NEEED it!
This is great Jackie. I’ll have to go and have another look at the halloween papers and washi. These look fantastic.
Aww your little gift card is just so adorable and Thankyou so much for showing the great colour versatility of the Halloween paper and washi!
Great CASE Jackie, how nice to receive a card with ‘ made with love’ on it, something to treasure!
