World Card Making Day Blog Hop

world-card-making-day-blog-hop-header

Welcome to our World Card Making Day Blog Hop!  #WCMD2016Bloghop  Thank you for joining me and Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the around the world!

This Blog Hop celebrates World Card Making Day by sharing projects from international demonstrators – all using current Stampin’ Up!® products. What a fantastic event and such a lot of amazing inspiration for you! You are currently visiting my blog – Jackie Noble | CreativeJax in New Zealand and you will be visiting lots of different places in your hop today.

There is a list at the end of the page which will help you to move along from blog to blog so you see all the amazing projects shared.

For my project I chose to feature the gorgeous Paisleys and Posies stamp set – a set that has amazing images and great sentiments! There are matching framelits – but I wanted to focus on the stamps today.

2016_creativejax_wcmd_angled

I used the emboss resist technique on my card with some of the images. By inking my paisley images in versamark, stamping them onto my Whisper White card (that I’d rubbed with an embossing buddy), coating them with clear embossing powder and then heat setting the powder with my heat tool – I created a pattern on my card that would resist any ink I applied. Hence the name – emboss resist.

I then got out my sponge daubers and sponged on some colour – Peakaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry, A quick wipe with a paper towel to remove any ink sitting on the embossed parts – and the images just pop!

The ribbon is from the Trio Pack which is part of the Petals and Paisley product suite so I knew it would coordinate with my Rich Razzleberry Ink. The mat is Sweet Sugarplum onto a Peakaboo Peach card base. Of course a few sequins always brighten a card, and these Sweet Sugarplum ones from the Fancy Frost Sequins pack go beautifully. I may have mentioned it before today – but here it is again – I LOVE how Stampin’ Up! products coordinate!

The sentiments in this stamp set a just great – and I chose “My world is brighter and more beautiful because of you” for my card today as it is perfect for World Card Making Day!

You can’t really the from the photo, but the sentiment was inked in Versamark, then Rich Razzleberry before stamping and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. So it is shiny and has a little texture.

I like carrying images though to the inside of my cards and you can get a sneak peek of that in the photo above.

Here’s the whole inside.

2016_creativejax_wcmd_inside

As well as the paisley detail in the corner, I punched a circle in the card bas to show a littl if the mat through the opening and stamped another image in the circle.

Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop – September – Thankfulness

2016 GV Blog Header

Hi All

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for September! Those hopping today are all Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who have met the requirements, and earned the amazing Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip – while everyone can try, only a limited number of demos (less than 1% of all demonstrators) reach the level required to earn the trip each year. This month is our last hop for the Mediterranean Trip as September is the end of our Stampin’ Up! year. Next month those that have earned the Incentive Trip to Thailand in 2017 will be hopping each month.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Jackie Noble aka creativeJax –  or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup at the bottom of this post will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. Remember – at the moment you are visiting Jackie Noble aka creativeJax.

Our theme for this final Mediterranean Hop is “Thankfulness” … and I have much to be thankful for! … Life … Family  … friends … creation in all its forms … challenges … a “job” I love … I could go on as the list is long! Suffice to say I am truly grateful.

As the Hop participants are all part of the group of Demonstrators from throughout the world who’ve earned the pinnacle of Stampin’ Up!’s yearly achievement goal – The Incentive Trip – I especially want to thank those that helped me earn the right to be part of this group. My family and friends, my Stampin’ Up! Team and Uplines, and my wonderful customers have all contributed – and I am grateful.

I’m also super excited to let you know that as of a couple of weeks ago – I have earned the next Incentive Trip! That means in July next year I will be heading to Phuket, Thailand – and this time I’ll be taking our daughter Beth as my guest.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You once again!

The same week I earned the Thailand Trip the 2018 Trip was announced – an Alaskan Cruise for two! Thanks Stampin’ Up! for offering these amazing Incentive Trips as a possibility to all demos! My aim is to be on that trip too – and to have at least one of my Downline earn the trip as well! Wouldn’t that be awesome! What fun we would have!

For my Blog Hop project I didn’t have to look far for an appropriate stamp set – the sentiments from the Paisleys & Posies are simply perfect!

2016_creativejax_achievers_bloghop_thankfulness

THANKFUL – GRATEFUL  – BLESSED

is there anything else to say? … well maybe …

2016_creativejax_achievers_bloghop_thankfulness1

” I thank you for your part in my journey. “

That’s it from me for today – I’m simply focussing on the Blog Hop Theme – Thankfulness – whether that be related to my Stampin’ Up! journey, my family journey or my life in general journey

“Thanks – I’m very grateful”!

And thanks to you for taking the time to view my post and hopefully all the others in the taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. CASEing the Catty Blog Hop – CTC97 – Favourite Holiday Bundle

Hello and welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.CASEing the Catty Blog Hop CTC97 - Favourite Bundle

Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Krissy – or back from Rachel a BIG hello!

Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way.

This week the crew gets to choose our favourite bundle from the Holiday Catalogue to use as our inspiration.

It was a hard choice – but I’ve chosen the Festive Season Stamp Set and Festive Stitching Thinlits Bundle. You can find them on page 16 of the catty.

festive-stitching-bundleHere’s the card I chose to CASE.

holiday16_p16a-4For my CASE I kept several elements the same as the original.

I love that both the patterns on these ornaments were stitched using the patterns created with the same die. Here’s a closeup.
2016_creativejax_ctc97_bundle_stitching2

And to add to the golden goodness of the ornaments (Gold Baker’s twine, Gold Foil and Gold embossing) –  I’ve added some gold embossing onto the card base itself.

I love the vintage look of the border from the Father Christmas stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed my card this week!

CASEing the Catty Blog Hop – CTC94 – Candy Cane Lane

Hi All

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.CASEing the Catty Blog Hop CTC94 - Candy Cane Lane

Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Julia or back from Liz a BIG hello!

Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way.

It’s been an exciting week in the Stampin’ Up! year with the launch of the Holiday Catalogue on Thursday. So this week we change our focus from the Annual Catalogue to now take our inspiration from the Holiday Catty’s pages – full of gorgeous products and samples. We’re starting with the super sweet goodies of the Candy Cane Lane Product Suite on pages 4 – 7.

CandyCaneLane

And what a great suite to start the catalogue with – it incorporates two of my favourite things – Christmas and baking!

I’ve taken my inspiration from two projects – the teddy bear card on page 6 provided the layout while the tag on the craft box on page 7 provided the stamp choice.

creativeJax_2016_09_Candy_Cane_Lane_1

You can see that I decided not to make a Christmas card – so instead I’ve incorporate some of the Halloween products into a gift card. It’s easy to overlook the Halloween products as not relevant to us in New Zealand –  but they are really versatile as I hope you can see and are not limited to being used for Halloween projects.

The background coloured paper is from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP.

creativeJax_2016_09_Candy_Cane_Lane_2

Like the original tag – I have used two of the stamps from the Yummy Little Christmas Stamp set and coloured onto the stamps directly with Stampin’ Write markers. This is one of my favourite techniques – it makes each stamp like having several different stamps depending on how you colour. I’ve used Old Olive and Perfect Plum on both the mixer and the sentiment – but have left the rolling-pin and it’s part of the sentiment off the lower stamp as I wasn’t making a Christmas card. In this catalogue there are three (3) pairs of Stampin’ Write Markers available to purchase – Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive, Real Red & Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler & Garden Green. This gives you another option for purchasing the markers – the complete set, by ‘colour collection” and now in pairs!

And those gorgeous embellishments are the Halloween Night Enamel Dots.

If you’re wondering where my colour choice came from – let’s peek inside …

creativeJax_2016_09_Candy_Cane_Lane_3

What cute washi! Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Perfect Plum. It’s from the Halloween Night Designer Washi set – not scary at all!

I hope you enjoyed my card this week and that you are loving the new catalogue as much as I am. If you are in New Zealand and you haven’t received a copy of the catalogue – please message me. I’d love to share it with you!

ESAD Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello

2016 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop HeaderWelcome to the ESAD Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.  We are so excited to be able to show you some of the amazing BRAND NEW products now available.

ESAD Information

For those of you who know me personally – you’ll know that Christmas is my FAVOURITE time of the year – so I am super excited about the new Catalogue – it really is fabulous!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Jackie Noble – or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
Here is the card that I made for the hop today – it uses a few items from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue.
 creativejax_2016_08_mediterr_5
I’ve used the Festive Stitching Thinlits to punch the little holes for the stitching.  As soon as I saw the Stitching Thinlits I could see some alternative uses to those shown in the catty.
I’ve used one of the stars from the Star Thinlits from the Annual Catalogue to cut out the centre.
The new Red Metallic Thread was perfect for the stitching across the centre of my star and the Gold Baker’s Twine was great to highlight around the outline. Did you do this sort of stitching when you were at school? I remember it well!
Here’s a couple of close-ups.
creativejax_2016_08_mediterr_4creativejax_2016_08_mediterr_1
The sentiment and starry image are both from the Star of Light stamp set and I have embossed them in gold. I repeated the swirl on the inside and you can see the stitching when you open the card too.

CASEing the Catty Blog Hop CTC93 – Artistic Expressions

Hi All

Hello and welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.CASEing the Catty Blog Hop CTC93 - Artistic Expressions

Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Simone or back from Monique a BIG hello!

Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way. A special welcome to our Guest designer this week – Joanna Wiggs – make sure you hop on through to her post.

This week I’ve taken inspiration from the cute card on page 110 that features the Love sentiment cut using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits paired with the heart image from the Everyday Occasion Stamp Set. I’d been keen to get my Sunshine Wishes Thinlits out so decided to make a set of cards in the 20125-2107 In Colors.

Here’s the set I came up with.

2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_

In the closer views of each below you can see I’ve used co-ordinating ribbon, envelope paper, and doilies.

2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_sunshine2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_love2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_hope2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_congrats2016_08_creativejax_ctc93_enjoy

For the last card I used a different thinlit set for my sentiment as there are only four words in the Sunshine Words Set – the “enjoy” comes from the mini treat bags Thinlits.

Co-ordination is one of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! products and these cards highlight how a wide range of products is available tin the same colour – love it!

A final reminder – don’t forget to redeem your Bonus Coupons from last month if you haven’t done so already. After 31st August – they expire!

CASEing the Catty – CTC90 – Project Life

Hi All

Hello and welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.CASEing the Catty Blog Hop CTC90 - Project Life and Kits

Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Kelly or back from Monique a BIG hello!

Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way. A special welcome to our Guest designer this week – Fiona Cobbin – make sure you hop on through to her post.

This week at CTC we are taking inspiration from the Project Life & Kits – Pages 6-9 and 158 – 166.

I’ve CASEd the Project Life layout at the top of page 163.

2016_ACWeb_En-AU 165 Project Life

While I love the Hello Lovely collection – for my layout I used the All Year Long Collection.

As I was looking through the cards of the various collections trying to decide which to use for my layout – I was drawn to the 4×6 card that has the silhouette mountains. It reminded me of the views we saw when we visited the Hamachal Pradesh state in India for a couple of days after the wedding we attended last month.

Here’s my layout.

2106_08_creativejax_CTC90_projectlife

As you can see I have CASE’d the original layout almost exactly for my page but used the All Year Long Cards Collection and Accessory Pack.

Just as the city of Chandigarh had been, the mountains were a place of great contrast. We were surprised by how populated the area was. The Green Valley was one of the few areas that was “untouched”. The horse trek up a mountain track without our driver and hosts was a memorable experience!

The cards and sayings on them were perfect for the our trip to Shimla and Kufri in the Himalayas.

I have LOTS of photos from the trip to get into albums – so am really pleased that I have the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Collections to help me – this system of Memory Keeping makes the process quick and easy! Just what I need to tackle the task!

If you’d like to order these products (or any others), please contact me  (jackie@creativejax.co.nz) or shop online. If you click the images above you’ll find yourself in my online Stampin’ Up! store.

If you want to see all the cards in this collection – You can check out the link below which is a reference sheet from Project Life Creator – Becky Higgins

All Year Long Card Reference Sheet

I love that we can mix digital layouts (through Digital Project Life and the Project Life App) with physical cards and accessories! The possibilities are endless.

A sneak peek for you now – there is a new Project Life Kit in the yet-to-be-released Holiday Catalogue – Hello December 2016. You can see it on the Stampin’ Up! YouTube video below. Oh I love Christmas. But I need to stay focussed on the tasks at hand first!

2016_07_creativeJax_ctc89_ChristmasMeetsWedding

A huge thank you to Harry amd his family for inviting us and hosting us for the visit., Thanks also to Sheenam and her family for making us so welcome.

Unfortunately hubby & I been sick with the flu since we returned and I nearly didn’t make the BlogHop Deadline tonight – but here I am with a quick post as I really wanted to be part of the Blog Hop this week.

I’ve taken inspiration from the table setting on page 32

I know it’s Christmas themed but I just had to share a wedding inspired creation. The colours at the ceremonies we attended were simply stunning!

For my table settings, I’ve used the colours of the flowers in the wedding photo above.

And lots of gold and sparkle of course!

These all are made using Whisper White card stock and an emboss resist technique.

That’s it for me – back to the couch!

I’ve got lots of other colourful pictures waiting to be give me inspiration – stay tuned!

CASEing the Catty – Blog Hop – CTC86 – Everyday Occasions

Hi All

Hello and welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.CASEing the Catty Blog Hop 77 - Occassions Catty pages 38-49

Whether you’re joining the Hop here, or if you’ve hopped on over from Rachel or back from Judy a BIG hello!

Remember to click on through this week’s CTC crew to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you – there’s a full list on the CTC blog page if you get lost along the way.

This week we have some new Crew Members joining us – welcome to the CTC Crew Kelly, Krissy and Deb!

And a huge thanks to all who participated in the CTC challenges over June. We look forward to having some of you as guest designers in future Blog Hops.

This week the Crew is taking inspiration from pages 66 – 91 of the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Annual Catalogue. This is a huge section which contains heaps of amazing product suites along with a load of inspiration. In fact it is so big – we’ll be CASEing this section again soon!

I couldn’t get past the first page of the section! I’ve CASE’d the card on the top right of page 66.

2016_06_creativejax_ctc86_everday_occasions_Moroccan

I’ve fallen in love with the Moroccan Product Suite – especially the Designer Series Paper.

I had a soft spot for it as soon as I saw it as the design matches the design used on all the Discover the Mediterranean Incentive Trip info!

2016_06_creativejax_ctc86_Moroccan_card

And does that graphic remind you of anything? Well for me it instantly reminded me of some of the gorgeous stained glass windows we saw on our European trip.

The colours of the DSP work so well together – Cajun Craze, Dapper Denim, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Emerald Envy and very VAnilla – definitely my sort of colour mix!

The Delightful Dijon doily from the  2015-2017 In Color doilies and the Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon are perfect matches. To get the thickness of twine that I wanted, I unravelled a piece of the Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine and only used a few threads.

The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set. With 53 photopolymer stamps for only $44 that’s less than a dollar each. Get the bundle which includes a coordinating punch and it is even better value!

Thoughtful Banner

And remember – until the 31st July you will earn an $11 coupon from Stampin’ Up! for every complete $110 of product that you purchase. These coupons can be redeemed during August. So stock up now and get to spend again in August!

Mediterranean Achiever Blog Hop – Cruise Highlights

2016 GV Blog Header

Hello – Hola – Bonjour – Caio – Hallo!

WOW WOW WOW!

What an experience … my first Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip was simply AMAZING!!!

Our first cruise experience as well!

IMG_3855I’ve said these statements before – but I just have to say them again

  1. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine earning one of these trips! I felt they were way out of my league – but I did it!
  2. I couldn’t have done it alone – so thanks again to all those who supported me – family, upline, downline, fellow demos, customers and Stampin’ Up!

It’s incredible what goal setting can lead to!

This hop is all about the Cruise Highlights – well it was ALL a highlight! But let me highlight a few specific things. “In no particular order”!

The generosity of Stampin’ Up! throughout the cruise – and I mean the intangible as well as the tangible

Amazing pillows gifts with incredible quotes!IMG_3854

Friendly staff at the Hospitality Room

IMG_3849

The Gardner family and Stampin’ Up! Board of Directors and Country Managers were outstanding – stopping – chatting – sharing their time with us. Bowling ANZAC style with Emma and Aaron was … “fun” – well the night was undoubtedly great – but my bowling was not so hot!

On another evening we got to sit with Rich Jutkins and his charming wife at the Cirque Dreams Dinner & Show – what a fabulous evening we had!

IMG_3850

We were made to feel very special at every turn.

If you’d like to see all of the gifts we got in more detail – I posted some live Facebook feeds in an event I held recently. They are public so you can check them out if you’d like to.

Celebrating the Catty the Mediterranean Way

Getting to meet and mix with some of my Stampin’ Up! idols.

Since returning home, “Did you see / meet ….?”  has been one of the most common questions I’ve been asked by customers. And to be able to say “yes” was soooo cool!  And even better when I could also say that we chatted, or shared lunch, or got a selfie with was even better.

Hubby, Roy, had cautioned me not to be a “groupie” – and it was a little hard not to be somewhat awestruck – but all the demos were so friendly! Some I saw once and then never again through out the Cruise – while other I seemed to bump into every day – isn’t that right Allison Okamitsu!

A highlight for me was meeting and talking to Ronda Wade. Here’s one of those selfies!

IMG_3853

I’d have to say that when I first thought about trying to earn the trip about 18 months ago, I didn’t really think I would actually get there. But I thought if I tried, it would have to help my business right? I’d done a one-off training session of Ronda’s a few months earlier and so decided to sign up to some more. I decided that paying for some training would mean I’d make more effort to do the Homework! Breaking things down into practical – doable –  steps meant that I could meet my short term goals – which then put me on track for the big goal!

Meeting and Mixing with demos I’d never heard of before!

it was great to meet some of the “big names” – but it was also fabulous to meet and mix with a huge range of demos. It was great that we all had Stampin’ Up! lanyard which meant we could join a table with fellow demos at a meal or quickly work out who was a stamper around the ship – or on shore! Very handy!

IMG_3857

I loved sitting with some demos from other countries while doing the Make’n’Takes

Sharing the Incentive Trip with my Upline and fellow New Zealanders

At the last convention (April 2015) my Upline Kristine and I decided we were both really going to try to earn the trip. Kristine had not earned it before either. There were just four demonstrators in New Zealand that earned the trip – two that had been on previous cruises – and two newbies! Kristine and I were the two newbies! We had a blast! Here we are after the Priscilla show!

The Captain’s Cocktails

We still not sure how or why we got an invite to the Captain’s Cocktails on our second evening onboard – but we were delighted to attend and that event was another highlight.

IMG_3848

Not only did we get to mix and mingle with the Captain and the ship’s Officers, a conversation at the cocktails lead to an amazing treat! Before we returned to our cabin that evening – our cabin had been decorated and we were left champagne to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary!

IMG_3851

The Places we visited – Italy, France and Spain

On our three Italian shore days we toured with several other Stampin’ Up! demos and the partners and families. Mixing and mingling was such fun and certainly made me realise all the demos had to work to earn the trip  but were all testimony that it is a possibility for any and all demos. Don’t get me wrong – it won’t just happen because you want it to – it takes works – but oh it was so worth the hard work!

How else would we get to visit places like Naples, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Cannes Marseilles and of course Barcelona.

We really loved the architecture and the history of the places we visited – some serious ticks were done on our bucket list!

Pompeii has held a fascination for many years – especially after seeing a 3D animation of the eruption of My Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii.

IMG_3858

The Colosseum and the Vatican were particular highlights of Rome – which was a huge day packed to the brim with highlights! While very crowded – the Sistine Chapel was breath-taking.

IMG_3861

Florence and Pisa were fabulous!

We were rather taken with worn stone work throughout our travels.

IMG_3862

… how many millions of feet have climbed these stairs over the centuries?

Swaps

Can’t forget these!

I joined three swaps – a card one, a 3D item one and a Project Life one.

IMG_3856

These are the Gaudi inspired 4×3″ cards which was a South Pacific swap. Going to love putting these through my cruise album.

All the swaps are on the right side of the photo below. This also shows all the incredible Pillow Gifts and Wheel Prizes we received throughout the week aboard the Norwegian Epic.

IMG_3863

Sharing the trip with my husband

We weren’t originally sure that Roy would be able to make the trip – an International Hockey tournament withe the New Zealand Masters Team almost had him – lucky for me (and in fact for him too) an injury stopped him participating which meant we could do the Incentive Trip together.

Earning the trip also meant that we could take a holiday in Europe and cross some more things of our bucket lists.

Visiting family in Austria and going to Paris!

When we knew we were finally going to visit Paris we arranged to renew our wedding vows while we were there – very romantic.

DSC_0079_1

And all because I decided to give earning the Incentive Trip a go – never really expecting it was possible – but it was!

Set the goals, make a plan and work the plan towards the goal.

I found voicing my goal out loud to a couple of people was hugely empowering! Daunting – but empowering!

So you can see my highlights were a lot about the people.

Don’t get me wrong – the places, sights, sounds and food were all incredible too – but the connections – and those moments with amazing people – they’re both personally and professionally priceless!

Thanks again!

I was already aiming for our next Incentive Trip – Thailand – before I went on the cruise. After being away I sure don’t want to miss the next one! I have until September to earn it – that’s the goals – and I’m working the plan! The only thing better than me earning the trip will be when one of my team earn it too and we can enjoy the amazing experience together!

You can set the goal too! It may be too late for this year – but maybe next year.
Here’s the link to check out the cruise highlights from some other Achievers. Enjoy – we did!
