For my project I chose to feature the gorgeous Paisleys and Posies stamp set – a set that has amazing images and great sentiments! There are matching framelits – but I wanted to focus on the stamps today.
I used the emboss resist technique on my card with some of the images. By inking my paisley images in versamark, stamping them onto my Whisper White card (that I’d rubbed with an embossing buddy), coating them with clear embossing powder and then heat setting the powder with my heat tool – I created a pattern on my card that would resist any ink I applied. Hence the name – emboss resist.
I then got out my sponge daubers and sponged on some colour – Peakaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry, A quick wipe with a paper towel to remove any ink sitting on the embossed parts – and the images just pop!
The ribbon is from the Trio Pack which is part of the Petals and Paisley product suite so I knew it would coordinate with my Rich Razzleberry Ink. The mat is Sweet Sugarplum onto a Peakaboo Peach card base. Of course a few sequins always brighten a card, and these Sweet Sugarplum ones from the Fancy Frost Sequins pack go beautifully. I may have mentioned it before today – but here it is again – I LOVE how Stampin’ Up! products coordinate!
The sentiments in this stamp set a just great – and I chose “My world is brighter and more beautiful because of you” for my card today as it is perfect for World Card Making Day!
You can’t really the from the photo, but the sentiment was inked in Versamark, then Rich Razzleberry before stamping and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. So it is shiny and has a little texture.
I like carrying images though to the inside of my cards and you can get a sneak peek of that in the photo above.
Here’s the whole inside.
As well as the paisley detail in the corner, I punched a circle in the card bas to show a littl if the mat through the opening and stamped another image in the circle.
