This section of the catalogue includes three fab Sale-A-Bration products and lots of projects to CASE! The Hey, Chick stamp set on page 17 has just flown off the shelves all around the Stampin’ Up! and there are quirky chickens and eggs everywhere! I’ve also loved the Designer Tee stamp set and have used it several times. I love you can use it with the Custom Tee Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue – or simply on its own as there are great sentiments in the set. Having the Quick and Easy card kit has been great to whip up some cards when I’ve been pushed for time! And who isn’t?!
I’m sure you’re going to enjoy this week’s creations by the Crew! Then once you’ve had a look through this week’s Blog Hop full of inspirational projects – get your crafty mojo out and join the challenge at CASEing the Catty Blog Hop and Sunday Challenge Facebook Group. If you haven’t already joined the group you – just ask and your wish will be granted!
For my CASE this week I’ve chosen the layout below from page 16 to be my starting point – but not used either of the stamp sets from this week’s challenge pages.
That circle pattern caught my eye and I had recently seen a “Bold Backgrounds” Technique over on Stamp Nation (Catherine Pooler). I knew just what would work for this technique.
The limited release Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Make A Medallion is perfect for a big bold background in black!
The medallions are stamped randomly onto thick Whisper White cardstock using Momento Black Ink to create the background. Different combinations of the medallion stamps create different patterns!
I was having so much fun that I couldn’t stop at one – so I made 4 cards using the Make a Medallion Set as a Big Bold Background in Black!
I love how the one set can make so many different patterns
With the background being the hero of the card, I’ve used copper embossing on vellum for my sentiment. The Hooray sentiment is from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.
Here are some closeups of the sentiments I used.
The Celebrate sentiment is from the Love Sparkles Stamp set.
The Awesome is from Marquee Messages stamp set.
Here’s a video from the Stampin’ Up! Home Office showing how to stamp the multiple layers of the Make A Medallion stamp set.

They look like a fantastic quick and easy card, once you get the layering perfected. Must get this set out the bbb and have a play.
