You don’t need to have a blog to join in – just post your picture in the Album for this week’s challenge. If you do have a blog – feel free to add the link! And of course, the challenge is open to all Stampin’ Up! enthusiasts – not just demos!
You don’t need to have a blog to join in – just post your picture to the Facebook Group in the Album for this week’s challenge (CTC 112 – Cup Cakes & Carousels). If you do have a blog – feel free to add the link! And of course, the challenge is open to all Stampin’ Up! enthusiasts – not just demos!
Remember CASEing means you take your inspiration from one of the projects – you don’t have to have the actual stamps, papers, colours – maybe you like the layout and run with that. There are more than 20 projects on the pages for this week’s challenge – so plenty of places to start!
I’ve CASE’d the gift bag in the centre of the top image on page 8 which has “ENJOY” on it. You can see it in the photo above with the carousel horse and the pink background.
Here’s my CASE – inspired by the layout of the gift bag and including the “Enjoy’ Sentiment” and the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP stack – though as a mini envelope rather than a background.
In my CASE, I kept several elements of the layout though made a few adjustments. Rather than fussy cutting a banner from DSP – I’ve used the Banner Punch. Rather than the ribbon from the coordinating Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit – I’ve used Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine Twine. And rather than having a piece of DSP behind the banner, I stamped some tiny words of thanks! And rather than having the fussy cut horse element – I’ve got the tiny envelope.
I was rather taken with the “ENJOY” sentiment which is part of the “Suite Sentiments” set – so have used my Stampin’ Write marker to colour only that word and not get the smaller words that are below it on the stamp.
You may have missed this set among all the amazing products in the catalogue. It is right at the end of the catalogue – page 54 – and it was a set that I received Free at On Stage Live in Brisbane as an All-Attendee-Giveaway! Stampin’ Up! is so generous! I’m excited to have registered to go to our next Demo-only event – On Stage in Auckland in April – Yay!
The Suite of Sentiments contains a selection of sentiments that are in the style of the various product suites in the Occasions Catalogue – you can see all the suites HERE. As well as the ENJOY sentiment, the other two sentiments on the card are from the same set. The “Many Mini Thanks” and “thanks THANKS …” are designed to coordinate with the Sending Love Product suite. But of course you can mix & match and I think they look great on my Thank You card!
I just love the little shape that goes into the mini envelope (from the Love Notes Framelits) and the stamp of tiny “thanks” from the Suite Sentiments fits perfectly! Just too cute!
Note: The “Sealed with Love” product suite is the product suite I have based my second Classes-to-Go class around. You can read more about my current Classes-to-Go over on my Events and Classes page HERE
My CASE this week is the card I made for those who ordered at one of my Occasions Catalogue Launch parties which I held earlier in the month. As well as a Thank You card, which I always include with all orders, I wanted to include a wee treat and these sentiments were perfect to accompany these!
Here’s the card, and coordinating mini self-closing box.
We made these self-closing boxes in class late last year – but they were much larger – about 12cm (5 inches) tall. These mini ones are less than half that height – too small for many chocolates!
“So what is in that tiny box?” I hear you thinking …
Well …
Mini tictac containers! These little cuties hold 6 or 7 tictacs and come in a giant tictac box!
I’ve been looking for the right project to use these super cute tictacs – and how perfectly matched are they with the “many mini thanks” theme?! lol!
Here’s what some of my sets look like en masse!

What a great combo. These look terrific. Haven’t tried a ‘mini’ self closing box, might just have to give that a go.
What a great thank you gift set, Jackie. The sentiment goes so well with the mini tic-tacs too.
Wow, what a great gift and card combination. The mini envelope looks so cute and just perfect for the sentiment.
