Amazing Memories … and More, with the Alaska Achievers February Blog Hop

 Hello!!

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Alaska Achievers blog hop! Those hopping today are all Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who have met the requirements, and earned the amazing Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip – while everyone can try, only a limited number of demos (less than 1% of all demonstrators) reach the level required to earn the trip each year.

We hop together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin’ Up!® products. I missed the January Hop as I was on Vacation in Canada and the USA – but did get to hop through blogs and found so much creative inspiration!

I’m sharing my swap I made for our Team Stamp Camp held last weekend.

The swap features the “Black Ice” Technique by Melissa Kerman. I’m such a fan of copper that I used the Copper Foil Sheets in my project and teamed it with the images from Petal Pallete and some Copper Trim.

Here’s a close up.

And the inside of my card.

The Petal Passion Suite is a real stunner – one of my favoutirtes from the Occasions Catalogue. You can check it out the suite HERE. And remember during SaleABration you earn FREE Stampin’ Up! product with qualifying purchases so it’s a perfect time to shop!

While I was making the greeting card, I knew it would look great as a filler pocket card with some of the photos I’d taken at the Grand Canyon on our recent trip. So I’ve also made a 12×12″ pocket page to share today.

The coordinating Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack had cards that worked really well not only with the card I’d made – but also with our memories from our time at the Grand Canyon.

I made some of the embellisments using the Petals and More Framelit Dies – you can see some in these closeups.

If you read my post in the December Achievers’ Blog Hop, you may remember Belle (my beautiful suitcase I received from Stampin’ Up!) Well … Belle came on vacation with us to North America. Here are a few of the places she made it in front of the camera lens!

Zion

Kanab – with Josh and in the rubber offcuts at the playground!

Grand Canyon

Las Vegas

She also made the road trip to Stamp Camp in Rotorua this past weekend! Stamp Camp is an annual event for members of Jacque Williams’ team and any of their downline – so one big Stampin’ Up! family!

Our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Development Manager, Emma Parkin-Wilson joined us for the weekend camp. The photo is of Emma with those members of the team who earned one of the stunning pieces of luggage that Stampin’ Up! rewarded Achievers with late last year. What a crew!

Belle was super excited that she got to meet several of her fellow family members!

Thank you for joining us today – we are so happy that you are taking part in our blog hop. Make sure that you don’t miss out on one blog as there are some incredible designs you are going to see today to inspire you.

CASEing the Catty CTC166 – Welcome Note cards all Painted with Love

Painted with Love note cards meet Cozy Cottage!

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from Megan Lenske – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew are CASE-ing a project from pages 18 – 21 in the Occasions Catalogue!
I’ve taken my inspiration from the layout of the note card at the bottom of page 18.

Here’s a closer look at my version.

Narrow Note cards all Painted with Love

I’ve used a layered circle rather than the heart shape on the original and adjusted where my sentiment was placed. Both stamped images come from the Cozy Cottage Host set. This gorgeous set is only available to purchase with Stampin’ Rewards with a qualifying order which can be an individual customer order or from a Stampin’ Up! workshop/party. I’m so in love with those little chairs!

The other elements of the card are from the Painted with Love Suite. The card base is one of the Whisper White Narrow Note cards which come with matching envelopes. It’s easy to miss these cute wee note cards as they are right at the bottom of page 19. Their size is 6.4 x 11.4cm (2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches) and they fit perfectly into the box you can make with the Lots of Love Box Framelits – also on page 19.

The colour palette is from the Painted with Love Speciality Designer Series Paper (DSP) which I’ve used as a background layer. I cut the DSP to 5.7 x 10.8cm (2 1/4 x 4 1/4″) and layered onto the front of the note card. There are gold features on one side of each of the 6 double-sided sheets – stunning.

Both stamped images are stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink – the chairs onto Whisper White cardstock and the sentiment onto Calypso Coral cardstock. I punched the sentiment out using the versatile Classic Label Punch. The chairs are punched out using the 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered onto Rich Razzleberry – punched out with the 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch

I popped the Chairs up on dimensionals with a piece of both of the colours of the Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack – gold and Powder Pink – behind.

This note card was one of my Make’n’Takes at my catalogue launch parties which I held in January.

Here’s a portrait version.

Narrow Note cards all Painted with Love

Everyone had the option of adding an extra bit of bling – one of the gold shapes from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Here are both note cards together.

The bundle contains tutorials for a range of different projects and techniques! It’s full of fabulous projects you don’t want to miss out on.

For our Blog Hop to celebrate the release of the February Bundle, we will each be showcasing a project using some of the same products as we used in our tutorial. It isn’t the same project as in my tutorial, as the projects in the Tutorial Bundle are exclusive and not shown anywhere else.

My projects today features the same Technique and  SaleABration stamp set that I used in my Tutorial.
The images from Beautiful Peacock are stamped using the “Wet Wipe Ink Pad Technique”.
I created my own “designer series paper” with one of the swirly images, which I’ve used to construct my gift bag and as my card base.
Here’s some close-ups:
I love the glimmer effect the Gold Glitter Flakes have made on the Peacock’s chest and tail!
The image below shows the front and back of the bag made with the Gift Bag Punch Board. The flourish stamp has made a great pattern on the Thick Whisper White Cardstock
The colours of the Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack work in well with the Fresh Fig, Berry Burst and Calypso Coral Palette of my Wet Wipe Ink Pad.
The Gold Metallic Foil Doily links back to the Gold Glitter Flakes on the card to make a beautifully coordinating Gift Bag and Card!

Just wait until you see what I did in my tutorial with the Beautiful Peacock stamp set and Wet Wipe Ink Pad technique!
Here’s a little sneak peek of my project:
You really don’t want to miss this bundle of tutorials.

CASEing the Catty CTC163 – Sweet Memories!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing a project from the 2018 SaleABration brochure!
I’ve taken my inspiration from the Memories & More page at the bottom of page 10
I’ve made a 12×12 page using the same basic layout but rather than using the colourful cards of the Sweet Soiree SAB Memories & More Card Pack, I’ve used the Petal Passions Card Pack from the Occasions Catalogue. Here’s a closer view.
The Petal Passion set is mostly black and white – with a hint of Powder Pink on some of the cards. I love the versatility of the cards and for this CASE I’ve used several Black and White cards with a single colour photo.
The little dots are a stamp in the Petal Palette set. There are several images in the set that can be used alone as well as in conjunction with the other images in the set.
The texture on the page is the vellum leaf element in the top left hand corner. Cut using one of the dies from the Petals & More Thinlits. This set is fast becoming a favourite! It has 4 dies that cut out images from the Petal Palette stamp set and a label shaped die to cut out the sentiments. The set also has 5 dies that are independent of any stamp. So the die absolutely co-ordinates with the stamps (and is available as a bundle) but they also are an exceptionally versatile as a stand-alone option.

There are several specialty elements in each of the Memories and More Card Packs and in the Petal Passion set these include pre-cut words (along with stickers and an overlay). The white “memories” is one of these pre-cut words.
I enjoy doing pages from the past and the present and mostly make pocket pages which the Memories & More cards are perfect for. But I hope me project this week shows you how easy it can be to use the cards in a 12×12 layout.

Don’t forget to check out the home of CASEing the Catty on Facebook. If you’re not a member of the group – just ask to join and we will see you there! And if you wish to – you can join in the fun too!

Colour INKspiration Blog Hop – CI26 – A Beautiful Shimmery Butterfly

Colour INKspiration Challenge

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge number 26 and this week we have another fabulous Pinterest inspired colour palette to work with!

A beautiful picture featuring a palette of Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay, Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand.

The crew is kicking off with a Blog Hop this evening featuring these colours..

If you have been hoppin’ along – you will have come from the awesome Kelly Kent. What a cute project – I love her baby card!

I went with a Butterfly card for these colours. Have you seen the blog of the fellow Design Team Member who also featured a butterfly?

I’ve not added a sentiment deliberately – that way I have a versatile card on hand that I can use for a variety of purposes when the need arises.

The butterfly is from the Beautiful Day stamp set, and I’ve heat embossed the image in Copper onto watecolour paper. I’ve given it a watercolour all over with an Aqua painter using Bermuda Bay ink and then fussy cut it out.

When I first saw this image in the catalogue, I wondered how it would work with some of the other butterfly stamps. So for this card, I’ve paired it with two images from Watercolor Wings. The image of the butterfly wing centres and dots is stamped in Emerald Envy and the image of the outside edge of the wings is stamped in Tranquil Tide.

To add some sparkle to the wings, I’ve added a touch of Wink of Stella. You can see that in the close-up below.

The card base is Sahara Sand cardstock and there is also a layer of Sahara Sand cardstock on the cardfront that is slightly smaller than the card base.

But before I attached the layer to the cardbase,- I added some texture with the new shimmery white embossing paste and the brick shaped from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks

I added a couple of drops of Sahara Sand from the Ink Refill to the paste before applying. In the photo below you can see how shimmery the paste really is!

I must say this Shimmery White Embossing Paste is one of my favourite items in the new Occasions Catalogue. Let me know if you have tried it yet?

A reminder that if you are not part of the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group please do join the group. It’s a place where crafters from throughout the world can share their creativity all inspired by a Pinterest Inspired Colour Swatch.

Now you can hop back on over to Australia to see what Monique has made this week.I just love how she has made seaweed! Such a clever creator!

CASEing the Catty CTC162 – Sweet Soiree all boxed up!

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop and Challenge!
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from –  Mel Pagano – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing pages 10 – 14 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue!

As Avid bakers – this is a very popular suite in our household. Beth CASEd many projects from the image above for my catalogue launch parties and today I’m sharing two boxes found on pages 10 and 11.
The first project I CASEd is the pink box on page 10. There is only has one adjustment to the original.
 Can you spot it?
I’ve used the Silver dotted pattern from the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate.

The second project I’ve CASE’d is the box at the bottom of page 11. I’ve created it using a different Designer Series Paper (DSP) than the original. I’m not sure my dimensions are correct – I estimated them!
I used Myths & Magic instead of Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP. Both of these DSPs are Specialty papers – with each being a heavier weight than standard DSP and both having an added shiny element – Sweet Soiree has Silver Accents while Myths & Magic has iridescent glittered accents.

My tag is cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper using a die from the Sweet Cake Framelits and the embellishment on the tag is a gorgeous Unicorn stamped and cut using the Magical Day Bundle – rather than one of the elements from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit
I’ve Heat Embossed one of the sentiments from the  Sweet Soiree Stamp Set onto the Glitter paper by stamping in Versamark, then Fresh Fig and then sprinkling Clear Embossing powder over the words. I removed any powder caught in the glitter paper, before heating with the heat tool to set.

I’m loving the sparkle of that tag – and that die is so useful for a range of projects – not just cakes.I used it on my Welcome Card – which you can read about HERE

Don’t forget to check out the home of CASEing the Catty on Facebook. If you’re not a member of the group – just ask to join and we will see you there! And if you wish to – you can join in the fun too!

CASEing the Catty – CTC161 SAB – Celebrate

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from Mel Pagano, a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing projects from the SaleABration brochure!

In case you’re not sure what SaleABration (SAB) is – let me give you a super quick overview. SAB is Stampin’ Up!’s event that runs for almost 3 months at the start of each year where you can earn FREE product from Stampin’ Up!
There are three ways you can do this:
  1. Shop – earn a FREE item (stamps, ribbon, card kits and more) with every $110 you spend on product.
  2. Host – qualifying Workshops – or Orders – while earn $45 more Stampin’ Rewards – that’s more Free goodies!
  3. Join – Purchase the starter kit and get 2 FREE stamp sets – and that’s on top of the usual benefits!

You can read all about it HERE

I’ve got a super quick card to share with you today which I CASE’d from the “amazing” blue card at the top of page 16.

I had my monthly  thINK Creative Team Meeting over the weekend, and for these meetings I always make cards to celebrate team member achievements and milestones. We were also talking about doing Make’n’Takes at an event like a Catalogue Launch –  so I wanted to share some ideas that could be useful. And this card was perfect. Here’s my CASE.

I’ve kept lots of elements from the original. A plain cardbase of standard size 21cm x 14.8cm, scored at 10.5cm layered with a piece of Whisper White cardstock (10.5 x 4.5cm).
My greeting comes from the same stamp set as the original – Amazing You. I’ve used the Celebrate instead of Amazing on this card.
Amazing you stamp set
This is one of the items you can choose for FREE when you spend $110 (postage excluded). I’ve also stamped the ‘sunburst’ onto the cardbase just below the white cardstock – but have stamped it again in Daffodil Delight on the White Card.

The stamp also makes an appearance inside the card.
Rather than use the flower image from the Amazing You stamp set as the feature mage – I’ve used one of the pre-printed cutouts from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit. Here’s a closeup.
These obviously co-ordinate with the other gorgeous products in the Sweet Soiree Suite (pages 10 – 13) but are also great to use in other projects.
The image below shows the wide range of items in this embellishment kit – ribbon, mini pegs, pre-printed colour & vellum cutouts, washi tape and small number cutouts.
Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit
I popped the flower cutout up in a dimensional and the finishing touch was to add Silver Baker’s twine. The silver thread looks great with the flower cutout as it has a silver outlines to the images.I love love love how things work together  – and match so beautifully!

Using the flower from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit was much quicker thn fussy cutting out the flower from Amazing You and made this card a perfect sample of a Make’n’Take for my Team.

Alaska Achievers December Blog Hop – A Cozy Welcome

 Hello!!

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Alaska Achievers blog hop! Those hopping today are Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who have achieved the prestigious Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip that only a limited number of demos (less than 1% of all demonstrators) reach the level required to earn the trip each year.. Here in New Zealand, only five demonstrators earned the Alaskan Incentive Trip – so I’m super excited to be part of that group and be heading to Alaska in July.

We will be hopping together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin’ Up!® products.

Unfortunately, I missed the November Hop – the last couple of months have been wonderfully exciting – but very busy! In the October Achievers hop, I mentioned that hubby, Roy, and I were about to leave for America. We did a “little” road trip of the Southern USA states (about 5000kms by road!)  before I took the train to Salt Lake City (another 4500kms and 3 days!) to attend ON Stage Live in Utah. What an amazing trip! I was made to feel so welcome by everyone!

A highlight was getting to visit the home of Stampin’ Up!in Riverton. If you follow my Facebook page there are some posted photos and videos. And I made most of my personal posts public to – so feel free to check it out!

It is now a week until the new Occasions Catalogue and SaleABration start (3rd January). So I’ve been busy with more swap-making! I can’t share some as they haven’t reached their final destination yet, but I can share the following project.

This first photo shows how I share a wee sneak peek of the projects if it’s too early to post the complete project. And with swaps, we don’t want to take away from the surprise of those involved when they received their swap.

This swap was for the wider Creative Inkers Team that I am part of.

For those who are not sure what I’m talking about – a swap is where we make several (this time for 16 including me) of a particular project – all the same – and we take them along and swap each one with another person and get one of their swaps. So by the end, we have one of our own and 15 different projects from crafty friends!

And there’s the whole of the card.

Anyone that joins my team during January will be receiving one of these welcome cards in their welcome pack.

The stamps are from one of two hostess stamp sets in the new Occasions Catalogue – this set is called Cozy Cottage. If you’re in New Zealand and have yet to receive a copy of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue – please contact me.

If you host a party – or put in a qualifying order (you can collect them from your friends and combine) you would be able to purchase this $42 value set for only $25 Stampin’ Reward dollars. And during SAB there are extra Free Hostess rewards you can earn. Talk to me about how you can earn these Hostess sets.

The background is a watercolour wash in Marina Mist and Lemon Line Twist on Shimmery White card.

I’ve used several products from the Sweet Soiree suite on the card. The lacy tag is made with one of the dies from the Sweet Cakes framelits set.

Behind the Lemon Lime Twist circle stamped with the cute wee chairs, is some “Ready Shreddie”! What a Cool name!

The product is cool too! This crinkle cut shredded paper is perfect for filling boxes and bags – it is also a great product to add texture and interest to a card. As well as the Dark Pink I’ve used (very close to Berry Burst) , the Shreddie comes with silver and white, and all three colours come together in the bag when you purchase it.

There are also some vellum cutouts behind the sentiment which you can see more clearly in this closeup. I used another of the dies from the Sweet Cake Framelits.

I loved mixing and matching products from the suite with the Hostess stamp set. It’s good to get lots of use out of your dies and stamps – so using them separately in ways other than intended gives you lots more options.

Now – sidetracking a little …

At On Stage in Salt Lake City last month, Stampin’ Up! recognised demonstrators who had earned the Alaska Achievers Trip and it was super exciting to be a part of that. They also recognised the Top Achievers in each country – and globally. It was great to get to walk across the stage waving my Silver Fern flag – representing New Zealand. I was in the Top 5 demonstrators in New Zealand for all three categories being recognised – Sales, Recruiting an Leadership. I was also delighted to be in the Top 5 overall in New Zealand Lots of proud moments and flag waving. It was very special indeed to do this in Salt Lake City – the home of Stampin’ Up!s head office! In front of more than 2000 demonstrators! It was also fabulous to see and recognise and celebrate so many other demos as well.

I didn’t make it into the fifth category recognised at the event – the Global Top 100  – but I did make it into the Top 250. And that’s out of around 50,000 demonstrators worldwide! There was one demonstrator from New Zealand in the Global Top 100 and two of us who made the Global Top 250

Anyone that made the top ranking in their country or the global 100 were told they would be receiving a special git from Stampin’ Up!  An amazingly gorgeous carry on bag! We saw pictures of it and it looked pretty cool. But nothing prepared me for how stunning this bag is in real life. Here she is!

In the 3 weeks since this little beauty arrived, she has been on a road trip with me to Hawkes Bay for my monthly Memory Keeping in the Bay Day Class as well as visiting my Dad in Wairoa.

I’ve posted her travels so far on Instagram & Facebook and have been pondering a suitable name for her. I got several great suggestions in response to my posts and had a hard time choosing – but I have. And when she accompanied Roy and me on our Christmas Day sleepover at our “children’s” place in central Wellington – I made my decision.

This little beauty is Belle.

Thanks for the suggestion Kay! Obviously, she is a beauty & Belle is French for beauty.  As we had holidayed in the Southern States of the USA before I went to On Stage in Salt Lake City and learned I was to get this gift – I also like the notion of a Southern Belle.

Who knows where she will appear next!

But you’ll be able to find her wanderings with at least one of the following hastags:    #belleandjax  or   #travelswithbelle    or #mystampinupbelle.

Now – back to the task at hand!

Thank you for joining us today – we are so happy that you are taking part in our blog hop. Make sure that you don’t miss out on one blog as there are some incredible designs you are going to see today to inspire you.

CASEing the Catty – CTC157

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from fellow Kiwi Angela – a big WELCOME!

I’ve been absent from the Blog Hops for a while – and tonight is a super quick post – but I really wanted to join the crew this week. We are CASEin a Colour Combination.

We could choose any colour combo from the Annual or Holiday Catalogue so lots of options! I’ve chosen the CASE the colour combo of a page – and also one of the background elements on that page.

So Page 94 of the Annual catalo=gue features the Fresh Florals Suite – in the 2017 – 2019 In Colors. I love how all these 5 colours work together and was drawn to the vases in the background.
Here’s what I came up with.

The flowers are cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits from Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst cardstock. Each vase also has a matching piece of Cardstock to give the appears of coloured water in the “vases”.

To make the vases, I cut 10 slits in the Whisper White cardstock and threaded a piece of vellum through each pair of slits. The coordinating Itty Bitty Bow is in Berry Burst – though I could have used any of the In Colors as the Bows come in packs containing all 5 of the 2017-2019 In Colors.
That’s me for tonight – I’m off to finish tidying up form Team Christmas Meeting and Craft day which was today – what a fun way to spend the day!

Don’t forget to check out the home of CASEing the Catty on Facebook. If you’re not a member of the group – just ask to join and we will see you there! And if you wish to – you can join in the fun too!

Now, hop on over to the next blog with the fabulous Rachel Palmieri – and check out her very creative card.

A: Yes.

Q: How many stamp placement tools can I reserve per reservation window?
A: For customers, there is a limit of 1 per reservation window.

Q: How did we come up with the name Stamparatus?

Stamp: To impress a pattern or mark (especially an official one) on a surface, object, or document using an engraved or inked block or die or other instrument
Apparatus: The technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose.

Stamp + Apparatus = Stamparatus

My sincere thanks to Sarh Berry (UK) for the base copy I used to write this post!
