Alaska Achievers October Blog Hop

 Hello!!

Thank you for joining us for our FIRST Alaskan Achievers blog hop! Those hopping today are Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world that have achieved the prestigious Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip that only a limited number around the world achieve. Here in New Zealand, only five demonstrators earned the Alaskan Incentive Trip – so I’m super excited to be part of that group!

We will be hopping together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin’ Up!® products.

In fact, I’m super duper excited today – not only do I get to join this hop with other demos from around the world – but it is only one more sleep until hubby, Roy, and I leave for America. We are doing a little road trip of the Southern USA states before I attend ON Stage Live in Salt Lake City, Utah on the 8 – 11th November!

Eeeeek – I’m going to the home of Stampin’ Up! – I’m beyond excited!!!

The project that I’m sharing in our hop today is one of my swaps. I’ve joined several organised swaps and have some others for general swapping.

It’s a bit hard to tell from the phot – but this is a 2’x2′ little cutie – and i for a “card candy” swap.

For those who are not sure what I’m talking about – a swap is where we make several (this time 40) of a particular project – all the same – and we take them along and swap each one with another person and get one of their swaps. So by the end, we have none of our own left – but lots of different projects from crafty friend! And being a “card candy” swap – for this swap our project had to be a 2inch x 2inch square – a perfect size to place on a card and look sweet! These little 2′ squares are also perfect for a sampler and as the swap is Holiday themed – I imagine I’ll be doing that with some of the swaps I receive!

Here’s what lots of them look like all together!

I just LOVE all the musical products that are in the Holiday Catalogue and have used several in my card candy.

I’ve stamped the instrument from Musical Season in Real Red ink onto a square of Whisper White cardstock which is slightly smaller than the Foil 2″ base.

I used Gold foil as the base on some and Champagne foil on others. I’ve then added a piece of Merry Music Designer Series paper which I’ve torn to the corner. Isn’t this paper FABULOUS! and being a speciality paper which is slighter lighter than standard – you get twice as many sheets in the packet – bonus!

And lastly – a foil treble clef. This is just one of the gorgeous dies in the Musical Instruments Framelits Die Set

Love how this set has some framelits that “frame” images from the Musical Instruments stamp set – and some that are stand-alone die cuts! My treble Clef has already had quite a workout!

Loved making these little cuties – and can’t wait to swap with lots of fellow Stampin’ Up! Demos in Utah at On Stage Live!

Thank you for joining us today – we are so happy that you are taking part in our blog hop. Make sure that you don’t miss out on one blog as there are some incredible designs you are going to see today to inspire you.

Colour INKspiration CI19 – Brilliant!

Brilliant colours – brilliant technique – brilliant team!

Colour INKspiration Challenge

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge number 19. And we are lucky to have Cathy Pinchbeck join us as a guest designer.

The Colour INKspiration Crew is kicking the Challenge off with a Blog Hop. You may have hopped on over from the brilliant Monique Fisher – or you may be starting the hop here – either way – a big welcome!   You are currently at Jackie Noble aka CreativeJax

A reminder that if you are not part of the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group please do join the group. It’s a place where crafters from throughout the world can share their creativity all inspired by a Pinterest Inspired Colour Swatch.

This week we have a brilliant colour palette to work with courtesy of Liz!

The Challenge colours are: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Garden Green.

My brilliant Upline – Kristine McNickle – shared the brilliant Faux Patina Technique at a recent team meeting. SHe had been reminded of it after receiving a gorgeous swap from our brilliant Team Leader – Jacque Williams.

(Generally speaking – a patina is a coating of chemical compounds such as oxides or carbonates. This forms on the surface of metals, or other compounds, when they are exposed to the weather. They can take a long time to form. A patina can really add to the value of a piece of artwork. A faux patina is a false patina and can be added to all sorts of objects – bowls, statues, woodwork, buildings – even cards!)

I decided the faux patina would be brilliant to use on congratulation cards for some of the brilliant members of my thINK Creative Team recently! Each month I recognise and celebrate various milestones and achievements of Team Members at my Team Meeting. So this was a brilliant card for them!

You can’t really tell how brilliant this technique is from the shot above – but here’s a closeup – a brilliantly close closeup!

The Big Shot was used to texture emboss my piece of Basic Grey cardstock with the Trellis Garden embossing folder.  I then gently rubbed my Versamark inkpad over the raised surface. Some went between the raised portions but that was okay – just adds more interest.

I then sprinkled Copper Stampin’ Embossing Powder and it stuck where the Versamark was. I could then do another brilliant technique – heat it with the Heat tool and watch the powder melt! Copper and the other metallic powders give such a brilliant result when heat embossed!

On a piece of Whisper White which I had cut out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, I stamped one of the lightbulbs from the Watts of Occasions stamp set. There is such a great range of cute images and sentiments in this set.

Watts of Occassions

I stamped the lightbulb in Basic Grey some of the “brightness lines” (not sure what else to call them!) in Daffodil Delight. They make the lightbulb appear to shine brilliantly!

On vellum, I restamped the lightbulb in Versamark and then heat embossed it in Copper! Mmmm delicious!

I cut out this lightbulb – trimming inside the copper line around the outside of the bulb so that when I layered it onto the card you would see the Basic Grey as the Lightbulb edge. I thought the vellum and the copper filament and bulb base made it look more like a lightbulb! Another advantage of the copper on the vellum is that I could easily adhere it with Multipurpose glue and not be worried about it showing through the vellum – brilliant!

The Basic Grey cardstock was matted with Smoky Slate and then popped this onto a Garden Green card base with dimensionals.

Inside the card, I adhered a liner of Whisper White onto which I had put a small section of copper embossing. This was done by putting some Versamark onto the Garden Trellis Embossing folder, stamping that onto my card and then heat embossing.

So my embossing folder got a brilliant workout with this card!

The stitched oval was also attached with dimensionals.

The Brilliant sentiment was stamped onto a strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock and attached with dimensionals too!

Of course, the Brilliant sentiment has some other words. But I just wanted “Brilliant”. So I used my Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker to apply ink to just that word. I use my markers like this very frequently! Another brilliant idea!

Keep on hopping along to see many more gorgeous projects from the Crew using these great colours. Next up is the talented Tanya Bell. Check out her fabulous card!

CASEing the Catty – CTC149 – Greet Big Thanks!

There is always so much to be thankful for – and here is a card sharing Great Big Thanks!
CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from the amazing Fi Cobbin – a big WELCOME! Didn’t you love Fi’s clever layering!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing pages 37 – 47 of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue! This section starts with the stunning Year of Cheer product suite – but also includes many other great stamp sets and other items.
On page  43, there is a stunning gift bag featuring the chandelier from the Chandelier Thinlits Die which is used as a place setting holder. What a cool idea for decorating your table! I’ve CASE’d the bag but made a Thank You card.
Here’s my card and the gift bag I CASE’d.
Rather than the chandelier, I’ve added one of the sentiments from the Great Big Greetings stamp set. Stamped in Versamark onto a sheet of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP), I then added White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat tool.
This DSP is one of the 11 papers that are part of the Designer Series Paper Promotion which runs throughout October. Click on the photo below to see the promotion detail.
DSP special
You can see the inside and the outside of my card below.
I love the effect created with these large sentiments – there’s no doubt about what you want to say!
I’ve tied some White Baker’s Twine around the card front and also added another of the Coffee Break DSP to the top of the card front and on the inside of the card.
The top of the large piece of DSP has been shaped with the Ticket Tear Border Punch. Here’s a close-up.
I also used this big sentiment for my InColor Share thank you cards this month. I love how they turned out!

Don’t forget to check out the home of CASEing the Catty on Facebook. If you’re not a member of the group – just ask to join and we will see you there! And if you wish to – you can join in the fun too!

You have almost a week to create and join in. Just add your photo to the Facebook group before 7pm next Sunday to be included in the challenge.

Now, hop on over to the next blog with the awesome Rose Packer – and check out her card – what luscious embossing!   .

CASEing the Catty – CTC148 – Memories & More – Kits and cards

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.

Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble – or if you’ve hopped on over from the fabulous Rebecca Scurr – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing any of the Kits, or Memories & More projects – from either the Annual or the Holiday Catalogue!

As you know I love Memories & More and I love our Kits! So a tricky choice!

I also love Christmas – so decided to CASE a Watercolor Christmas Project Kit card using Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card pack – a perfect match!
The photo below shows my card sitting on the relevant pages from the Holiday Catalogue – Pages 14 and 33.
I’ve CASE’d the kit card in the top right hand corner of page 33.
Here is my card on its own.
A super quick and easy card.
I usually use metric here in New Zealand – but imperial measurements worked well with the Memories & More cards as the card sizes are 4″x6″ and 4″x3″.

Here are the steps to construct the card:
  1. Cut a card base in Kraft. I cut the base at 8×6″ so I could score and fold it in half so it would be the same size as one of the large Memories & More cards. I used the 12×12″ Kraft cardstock –  which was an easy cut! If you were making several you could then get two 8×6″ bases and a 4×12″ – so 3 cards of 4×6″. The Kraft 12×12″ cardstock is available in the Merry Little Christmas cardstock pack –  a mixed pack with Old Olive – great for Christmas projects
  2. Adhere a 4×6″ card from the Merry Little Christmas pack to the card front. The one I used was the “Let’s be Jolly” card – but the words get covered!
  3. Trim the 3×4″ Lemon Lime Twist card to 2 1/2 x 3 1/2″ and adhere to front of card with glue or fast fuse.
  4. Stamp the sentiment from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set on to another of the 3×4″ Merry Little Christmas cards
  5. Adhere some Silver metallic ribbon to the back of the card  and then adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
  6. Add two or three of the ornament stickers from the Merry Little Christmas Card Pack! Two of mine were stuck straight onto the card. One I popped up on mini dimensionals.
  7. Adhere one of the Lemon Lime Twist offcuts to the inside of the card

Gotta love how all these things work together to make quick and easy – but still gorgeous – cards!

Now, hop on over to the next blog with the  Peta Stephen and check out the gorgeous layers in her card!.

Colour INKspiration Blog Hop – CI18 – Memories & More Pizza Box Mini Album

This week’s colours have made a beautiful Mini Album in a Mini Pizza Box!

Colour INKspiration Challenge

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge number 18. This week we have a fabulous colour palette to work with courtesy of the amazingly talented Bronwyn Eastley. Bronwn is the founder of Colour Inkspiration and numerous other amazing sites and challenge groups!

Colour INKspiration 18

The Challenge colours are: Powder Pink, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Sweet Sugarplum and add a green of your choice if you want to.

A reminder that if you are not part of the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group please do join the group. It’s a place where crafters from throughout the world can share their creativity all inspired by a Pinterest Inspired Colour Swatch.

The crew is kicking off with a Blog Hop this evening –  so welcome – you’re at Jackie Noble aka CreativeJax

Those that know me well, know that pink is not usually my go-to colour but I did have fun with this colour combo. I’ve been working with the Memories & More card packs and some of this weeks challenge’s colours feature in those packs. So I decided to use them to make an envelope mini album.

It’s inside the mini pizza box!

I first made a mini album from envelopes with Kristine McNickle several years ago and have made different versions over the intervening years. Fellow Kiwi demo Delys Cram recently posted her version which was in one of the cute wee Mini Pizza boxes.  Delys’ project got me keen to have another go myself.

As the name implies – these mini albums are made by joining several envelopes together. To fit in the pizza box I’ve used the 3×3″ mini envelopes which I was very pleased to see return in this catalogue – I missed them! There are several great tutorials online – just google envelope mini album and you’ll find several versions!

The Sweet Sugarplum coloured elements on the outside of the box are from the Petal Garden Memories & More Card pack. The Sahara Sand element is from the Perfect Days Pack. It’s great how you can mix and match components from different packs!

I’ve matted the trimmed card onto Basic Gray – a layout I carried throughout the album. There is a Basic Gray stitched Satin Ribbon along with a hint of Powder Pink in the Finely Woven Ribbon in among the layers.

Here’s a peek inside.

… and with the lid open!

There’s a little ribbon tab to lift the mini album open – I used the Sweet Sugarplum stripped grosgrain ribbon for this. That striped ribbon is also the ribbon that is wrapped around the outside of the box.

It’s a bit hard to photograph the album to show the folding effect but here’s a collage to give you an idea.

Some of the envelopes had open pockets which have cards inside.

I made the tabs to pull out the journaling cards with the Everyday Label Punch

All the cards on top of the Basic Gray mats and on the pull out cards are made using cards from the Memories & More Card Packs. Mostly from the Petal Garden pack but a couple from the Perfect Days pack.

Below is the opened out front and back. The mini album itself doesn’t come out of the box as the bottom envelope is adhered to the inside base.

You can see in the photo above that on the reverse side I have matted the envelopes with Basic Gray cardstock. Additional photos can be placed on these panels.

Here’s a final collage showing some elements I haven’t already mentioned.

The top two show the front of the box in closer detail. You can see how I’ve trimmed some elements from the Memories & More cards to create the layers. I’ve also added a Sweet Sugarplum embellishment – one of the In-Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes.

I also use one of these on the top panel inside the box. All the layers of the label are made using the Everyday Label Punch – just different widths of cardstock. The Sweet Sugarplum cardstock of embossed with the Garden Trellis Textured Embossing Folder. I’ve also used that folder to stamp the pattern in Sahara Sand on the outside of the box. I did this while the box was still flat!

Keep on hopping along to see many more gorgeous projects from the Crew using these great colours. Next up is the talented Rose Packer. Check out her fabulous card!

CASEing the Catty – CTC147 – Christmas on either side of the world!

Christmas is special no matter where you are in the world – and recording the memories made at Christmas is very special too!
CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from the awesome Fi Cobin – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing pages 28 – 36 of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue! The Christmas Around the World Suite

I’m always impressed with the way Stampin’ Up! displays the projects in their catalogues – they present the products and projects in such innovative ways. This week I am CASEing the display for the Around the World Product Suite. I use bookshelves myself when I’m putting displays together and just fell in love with the cute little coloured ones on page 28 which you can see in the picture above.Christmas Around the World

The display was perfect to  CASE into a 12″x12″ Christmas layout. And the Christmas Around the World Suite was perfect to use for a layout of our Christmas from 2015 – when some of our family was in Canada and some in New Zealand!

Christmas Around the World

I just had to trim the heading out my catalogue as it was perfect for my layout!

The left hand side of the “bookshelf” is all about Beth and Roy’s Christmas in the snow – in Canada.

Christmas Around the World - Canada

Ski-ing, Ice Hockey and snow-covered trees, houses and cars.

The right hand side is all about my Christmas at the beach – in New Zealand.

Christmas Around the World - New Zealand

Sunshine, sand and jandals!

What a contrast!

I loved how the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper has so many cute little elements that I could fussy cut out to embellish my page with – along with the wooden Christmas Around the World Embellishments. I didn’t have to fussy cut everything though.  The Christmas Lamppost Thinlit Dies not only coordinate with several of the stamps in the Brightly Light Christmas stamp set, it also cuts out wreaths, presents and bows from the Designer series paper! Such a lot of thought has gone into this product suite!

Here’s some close-ups!

The leaves you see peaking in at the bottom of the picture above are from an unraveled Boxwood Wreath Embellishment (in the Annual Catalogue). These come as round wreaths but you can unwind them to make a garland instead. You can see it more clearly below.

The stamped background snowflakes (Flurry of Wishes), and the fussy cut moose head, snowman and snowy lamp were perfect for a winter Canadian Christmas…

…while the fussy cut  Kiwi and jandals and the background stamped tree (Beachy Little Christmas) were perfect for a New Zealand Summer Christmas!

It was such fun looking at the photos from this Christmas and even more putting the layout together! I hope you enjoy it too!

Now, hop on over to the next blog with the fabulous Monique and check out her stunning Christmas card.

Stampin’ Up! Thailand Achievers September Blog Hop – A Merry Little Christmas

The Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack is one of my Holiday Catalogue Favourites and I have a couple of projects to share today.

thailand-grand-vacation-blog-hop

Welcome to the final Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop! September marks the end of the Stampin’ Up! year so it’s goodbye for this group.

But there will be a new monthly Blog Hop starting next month or those demonstrators who have earned the next Incentive Trip – Alaska – which includes me! Yay! So I get to keep hopping with amazing demonstrators from around the world! Only a limited number of demos (less than 1% of all demonstrators) reach the level required to earn the trip each year.

Our theme for this month’s Blog Hop is Holiday Catalogue Favourites.

I have lots of favourites and am particularly loving all the musical themed products in the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue! There are stamp sets, and dies, and Designer Series Paper and Memories & More cards! I’m going to focus on the gorgeous Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack which you can find on page 14 of the catalogue.

Merry Little Christmas

This image doesn’t really do the collection of card justice – they are gorgeous in real life! You can get a better idea of what the pack contains in this video by Stampin’ Up!

What I really, really love is that all the words on these cards are either the title of, or are lyrics from a Christmas song. Some are from Christmas Carols (eg Joy to the World) while others are general Christmas Songs (eg IDreaminging of a White Christmas). I find myself humming the tunes as I am using these cards!

Most years I complete a December Daily album and with the Merry Little Christmas Card Pack I’ve got my 2017 December Daily album all ready to go.

The Basic Black 6″x8″ Album is a perfect size and I’ve put two of the Variety Packs of 6″x8″ Photo Pocket Pages into it. And the Lemon Lime Finely Woven Ribbon makes this album Pop!

Then popped in most of the cards from one pack of Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card pack. Here’s just a couple of the pages.

It’s now ready and waiting for =December- when I’ll take some pictures, print and put them into the album. I’ll add some of the cute stickers that come in the card pack and depending on my time and inclination – I can add other embellishments or DSP or washi or … anything I fancy! Being pockets, it’s easy to swap cards around to suit the photos, but having the album partly completed means it is much more likely to be completed!

The second project I’ve got to share is a gift box with 5 cards inside. The Acetate Card Box is another favourite new product in the Holiday Catalogue

The outside of the box is decorated with the Merry Music Specialty DSP, the Black and White Striped Ribbon, a cute Mini Ornament some Linen Thread and one of the Green Sprigs .

The Acetate Card box is perfectly sized for our cards. Stampin’ Up! has done a great job at giving each of its markets the size that fits that countries standard envelopes. So here in New Zealand, these will hold 5 standard 10.5cm  x 14.8cm (1/4 A4) along with 5 C6 envelopes! Perfect!

Here are the cards are outside the Acetate box.

Each card has some fo the Merry Music Specialty DSP on it along with cards from the Merry Christmas Memories & More Pack.

The Merry Music Specialty DSP is a real bargain too! The paper is slightly lighter than our normal DSP weight and so there are 24 sheets included in the $27.75 Pack

You get 4 each of 6 double-sided designs. That means plenty of Black and White paper to use in all sorts of Christmas Projects.

This close-up shows a little more detail – including some of the additional embellishments used on the cards.

There are stickers from the Card Pack, the Black and White Striped Ribbon and the Black Vintage Crochet Trim!

I’ve also added some cards and stickers to the inside.

Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I created with the Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack. I made these for a Team Training day where I presented to a group of about 65 demos. And each person got to make a 12’x12″ page too!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are at my blog Jackie Noble | creativeJax, so check the blog hop lineup list to see who is next in the list.

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop – CTC146 – Season of Glitz

Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop. Tonight I have some lantern glitz for you!

CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from the talented Sandra Collett – a big WELCOME! Didn’t you love the background in Sandra’s card – such a great technique!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing pages 20 – 27 of the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue!
Season of Glitz
It was so hard to choose which project to CASE and which product to use. This section contains some of my favourite stamps and suites – Christmas Sweaters, Santa’s Suit, Wise Men from Afar, Musical Season, Night in Bethlehem … Decisions, Decisions!

I settled on Night in Bethlehem.
Night in Bethlehem
These dies and stamps work together really well, but they also work superbly independently of each other. You can see that in the image below, which is on page 26 of the Holiday Catalogue.
For my Catty Launch Parties I CASE’d the two Landscape cards, and I didn’t change a thing as I loved them just as they were!

Tonight, for our CTC146 Blog Hop, I decided to CASE the blue card again – this time turning it into a lantern.

Here are the two of them together

The Window Box Thinlits were used to make the base in Soft Sky and the top in Night of Navy. The top hexagon on the Soft Sky box and the bottom hexagon on the Night of Navy were cut away. Thus each box was open on one side to allow the middle section of the lantern to be added.

Taking vellum that was 15cm tall, I scored at 4.7cm intervals (which matched the dimension of each edge of the box) to make the lantern sides. The stars were heat embossed onto the vellum using Clear Embossing powder and then sponged Night of Navy. Mimicing the curved starry skyline on the card.

I cut two of each of the houses dies from the new Champagne Foil Sheets using the Bethlehem Edgelits. Two were adhered directly onto the vellum with Multipurpose Glue and the other two with Dimensionals. These were offset so they wrapped all the way around the lantern. You can see the front and back views in the photo below.

Rather than adding a sentiment, I attached the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon around the top and tied a bow. This ribbon ties beautifully – making gorgeous bows!

And the top of the box can be opened.

This means you can put a battery operated Tealight candle inside – which looks great turned on – even in the daylight …
… but so much better as soon as it start to get darker!
It was such a lot of fun making this lantern and I’m really pleased with how it turned out! What do you think?

There are so many fab goodies in the new Holiday Catalogue. Great for cards of course – but also gift packaging, home decor items memory keeping and so much more!
If you don’t have your own copy of the Holiday Catalogue yet (and you live in New Zealand) comment below and I’ll get a copy to you. Or you can download a digital copy by clicking HERE.

Colour INKspiration – CI17 – Great Big Bright Congratulations!

It’s great to celebrate achievements, and today I share a bright card made for some of my thINK Creative Team Members to congratulate them on their achievements last month.

colour_inkspiration_banner

Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge number 17 and this week we have a fabulous colour palette to work with courtesy of Tanya Bell

What a bright, fun palette to work in – Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise, Flirty Flamingo!

The crew is kicking off with a Blog Hop this evening and it is great to have Jackie Aitken join us as a guest designer.

If you have been hoppin’ along – you will have come from the awesome Simone Bartrum

A reminder that if you are not part of the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group please do join the group. It’s a place where crafters from throughout the world can share their creativity all inspired by a Pinterest Inspired Colour Swatch.

So – Here’s my Team congratulations card for August.

I love the oversized sentiments in the Great Big Greetings stamp set and kept the rest of the card very simple so that it would be the feature of the card. Here they all are:

Great Big Greetings

When I inked up the stamp in Tempting Turquoise I positioned it so I didn’t get any ink on the “Heck”. That way I had room for my Pool Party banner behind.

The card base is Lemon Lime Twist and I have used one of the papers from the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper – Lemon Lime Twist of course!Eastern Palace DSP

I snuck in a little Flirty Flamingo with the Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and topped this off with a Gold Library Clip.

And inside there’s another great sentiment from the stamp set.

You're Awesome

I’m the last in the hop tonight – but if you haven’t been all the way round you can hop on over to the talented  Tanya Bell who has a gorgeous card to share!

And don’t forget – anyone can participate in the Colour INKspiration ‘Challenge’ by uploading photos of their projects and you can link back to your personal blog if you’d like to.

CASEing the Catty – CTC145 – Merry Little Birthday Wishes

Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop. Hope you’ve had a fabulous weekend – I sure have! I been away for the weekend at my second Creative Escape. What a lot of fun! I’ve included a couple of photos at the end of the post!

We are into our second week of the new Holiday Catalogue – if you don’t have your own copy yet (and you live in New Zealand) message me and I’ll get a copy to you.
You can also download a copy HERE (11MB).
CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from the very creative Krissy Buck – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is excited to be CASE-ing pages 10-19 of the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue! This section includes – among many  other things – the Merry Little Christmas Product Suite – which is anything but small! It’s a double suite really – two different Designer Series Papers (DSP), two stamp sets and two bundles and two ‘ribbons’ – as well as embellishments! That’s a whole lot of lovely! You can see many of the these goodies in the photo below.
I’m CASE’ing the card in the centre of the photo – which is on page 11 of the catty.

I give team members cards for their birthdays at our Team Meeting each month and last Wednesday was the September meeting. I loved the layout of the “Deck the Halls” card so CASE’d it into Birthday cards.

Birthday Card
The colour combo was inspired by some of the colours in the “Pick a Pattern” DSP – I’ve chosen Flirty Flamingo as my card base and Emerald Envy as a contrast colour and used the Lots of Labels framelits to create the centre piece. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the Window Shopping Stamp Set which I’ve stamped in Emerald Envy and cut out with an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.
The Sheer White Ribbon goes around the whole card front, threading in behind the label and tied into a bow.

The cutouts in each of the corners were made with one of the pairs of the framelits from the Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies. I love how several dies in this set are not limited to Christmas!

There are several gold accents on the card which work in with the hint of Crushed Curry that is visible in the flower centres on the DSP.

Here’s a close-up:
There’s some gold heat embossing, Gold Metallic Thread and Gold Metallic Shapes
I was so happy with how this bright and cheery birthday card turned out!

Remember -if you don’t have your own copy of the Holiday Catalogue yet (and you live in New Zealand) leave me a comment below and I’ll get a copy to you.
